ARTURIA RELEASE FREE PLAY EDITION OF PIGMENTS
If you have been at all inquisitive about the Arturia’s own flagship synth, then there is some good news for you.
Arturia have just released a free version of their Pigments plug-in with 100 presets for you to try, and there’s is even more good news, as it has NKS support for the included presets.
It is probably not a good idea to expect too much in the way of ground up sound design, there are a limited number of tweakable controls, but it’s certainly enough to get a flavour of the sounds.
Assuming it is the same as the full version, Pigments does already have good preset browsing accessibility out of the box regardless of NKS, being built on JUCE, it is easy to navigate and load presets and banks from it’s own interface.
You need to sighn up in order to get the download link sent to you, and I am assuming that you may need to use the dreaded Arturia Software Centre, which does involve some wrestling, however I have not confirmed this.

This is an excellent opportunity to also remind readers that Native Instruments also have a free player edition of Massive X, which is in many ways comparable to Pigments, and of course has NKS support.
