PLUGHUGGER SOUND DESIGN RELEASE UNDERVOLTAGE DRIFT FOR ARTURIA PIGMENTS 7
I loved the story behind this new soundset from Plughugger Sound Design.
Carl, the owner, accidentally plugged the wrong power supply into his Behringer JT Mini, the results wer that the synth was producing some weird other worldly drifting timbres, which Carl being true to form decided to sample.
The wave files he captured were then imported into Arturia Pigments, and a new experimental soundset was born.
Undervoltage Drift is now part of what I believe will be a new Artifacts series of pocket money priced packs.
This initial release is just 1.99 euros until August 1st, for the 40 plus presets, the usual price will be 14.90 euros.

Some additional good news is that the soundset also ships with equivalent NKS presets, although the Pigments JUCE based interface is perfectly accessible, having NKS is a helpful and convenient bonus.
Plughugger are toying with the idea of adding NKS presets to their soundsets as standard, meaning alongside the U-HE based packs which have always shipped with accompanying NKS presets, we might also see Pigments, Omnisphere and others in the future.
This does mean quite a bit of extra work, for what is basically a one man operation, so if NKS is something that you want to see, do make a point of letting them know via the website contact, which I think for anybody subscribed here is going to be a whopping yes!
You do of course need to own the Pigments 7 plug-in from Arturia in order to use the presets, NKS or otherwise.
I found a bug in Pigments that initially affected the NKS presets for this soundset, but as of today this has been identified and resolved, so any purchases from tomorrow will work just fine.
