Here is the latest news, updates and new NKS library releases for this month.
NEW NKS LIBRARIES
NKS Library: Omnisphere 3 Legacy Library Release
Last month the updated Spectrasonics Omnisphere 3 NKS library was released and has had great feedback and I have now redone the previous Omnisphere 2 library with the new controller template and this is now available for Omnisphere 3 as the “Legacy Library”
This is a complete redo of all presets in the Omnisphere Legacy library and while Omnisphere 2 NKS presets will work with Omnisphere 3, they do not have the updated control template nor the updated Bank details for the library.
The new library has both the Banks updated for all sub libraries for Omnisphere Legacy and contains the new NKS template designed for Omnisphere 3 which includes the Main Macro section.
This library consists of 9000+ NKS presets covering the Omnisphere 2 libraries that can be selected using the bank/sub bank:
- Omnisphere 1 / 2 Library
- Atmosphere Library
- Spotlight EDM Library
- Hardware Library
Discounts are available for the full bundle if you own the previous Omnisphere 2 / Hardware Library and if you have purchased the Omnisphere 3 Factory Library already this is also discounted off the price to upgrade to the full Factory + Legacy library bundle.
You will find 2 options now, the “Omnisphere 3 Factory” library contains only the latest Omnisphere 3 factory content allowing users to choose to use their existing Omnisphere 2 library (if you have many marked favourites then you may like to keep that as they do not migrate to the new library). The Factory + Legacy library contains all 35,000 presets for the main Omnisphere 3 Factory and the updated Omnisphere Legacy library. Downloads come in 2 packages so if you already have the Omnisphere 3 factory library installed you simply need to download the Legacy library component and install as per the instructions (remove the previous Omnisphere 2 factory library).
NKS Library: Spectrasonics Bob Moog Tribute for Omnisphere
An updated NKS library is now available for Omnisphere Bob Moog Tribute v2 which adds new control template to support Omnisphere 3!
While the previous Omnisphere 2 compatible library will work with Omnisphere 3 it does not offer control over the new Main Macro section that was introduced in Omnisphere 3 so this updated library will now offer this.
This updated library is offered for FREE for existing users and a download should be available in your account download area if you previously had this library.
We have now also removed the VST2 compatible library version so this will no longer be available in your download area.

NKS Library: reFX Nexus Expansions
NKS libraries have been updated to cover all Nexus expansions released up until December 2025. The following libraries have now been added:
- Expansion: Afro House
- Expansion: Bass House
- Expansion: EDM 11
- Expansion: Future EDM
- Expansion: Hyperpop
- Expansion: Hypnotic Techno
- Expansion: Jungle
- Expansion: Latin House
- Expansion: Melodic Techno 4
- Expansion: Vintage Synths 3
These are available as separate libraries or in the new 2026 Full NKS Bundle that now covers NKS libraries for all 215+ expansions.
Upgrades are available for users that wish to upgrade their 2023 full bundle to the latest 2026 full bundle.
Additionally, new Free expansions have been added to the Free Expansion download included with the Nexus Factory library for “XP Christmas 2025” and also a missing free expansion “XP Summer Deep Chill”. If you own the Nexus 5 factory library You can download these new expansions in the “Free Expansion” download listed in your download area. Just copy these new expansion folders to your refx\Nexus folder in your NKS User Library.
NKS Library: Acustica Squid3
This library adds NKS support for Acustica Squid3 allowing all presets to be browsed from the hardware or from the Maschine / Komplete Kontrol software with fully mapped and labelled controller map, detailed tagging done by hand, sound previews and library artwork.
NKS Library: Roland Earth Electric Piano
This NKS library offers full preset browsing of the Roland EARTH Electric Piano instrument from your Komplete/Maschine software and hardware.
Presets have been tagged for the NKS browser and include a full controller map, sound previews and artwork for the NKS browser and keyboard/maschine hardware controller displays (including for the latest MK3 keyboard).
NKS Library: Roland Cloud Complete Bundle 2026
Content updates available for several Roland Cloud NKS libraries that update content compatibility up to January 2026
This is quite a large update over many different areas (Legendary, Expansions, Zenology) with a lot of new content available. If you have KK v3 then running the latest version is recommended as you will finally have the ability to browse content using the banks.
