The last update for the year, it has been quite a year in many ways and for me has just flown by. I would like to thank all of you who have supported my work, it really means a lot and I have quite a few things to get through next year so likely if you have been asking for something I have it planned already but if not, please feel free to contact me any time with suggestions or feedback.

I hope you all have a good Christmas / New Years and hopefully a bit of a Holiday break. Something tells me 2026 will be a hectic and eventful year so stay safe and enjoy some time with Family and Friends if you can.

NEW NKS LIBRARIES

NKS Library: XLN Audio Addictive Drums 2

XLN Audio Addictive Drums Expansion: Hip-Hop & Gospel

An NKS library is now available offering both AD2 MIDI Mapping or GM Midi Mapping options to load.

Note on Pitch Control: The “Pitch” parameter may not function on some kit pieces due to the Pitch or “Kit Piece Controls” sections being disabled in the patch (requires activation).

I did do an update where I enabled ALL pitch control sections to ON however I found that on some kits the whole Kit Control section for a selected kit piece is also switched off and so this also needs to be enabled.

While I can likely batch update this too I have to do some deeper tests before I do that as enabling that may have a default position for the controls that drastically affects the sound making it different than what it should be so it is not a simple case to just enable it for everything. I don’t have the time to really dive that deep at the moment but let me know if that is of interest for you and I will see what I can do to enable pitch control on all kits by default

NKS Library: Cherry Audio Synth Stack Bundle

NKS Library now available for Cherry Audio Mercury 8 covering all factory presets with banks created for the artist presets, fully tagged, including sound previews and database artwork with deep controller map allowing control of almost every parameter other than the modular effects section which is difficult to add compatibility for.

Also available in the new Synth Stack 6 bundle

NKS Library: UVI Falcon 2026

New updated library for UVI Falcon 2026.

This library now includes all presets for the older “legacy” library along with the new updated “Factory Rev 2” library and the latest 100 presets released with the 2026 update.

All content has been updated with new bank information and now has banks that list legacy and Rev 2 factory content with sub banks available for version releases so you can easily check out the new 2026 patches (requires latest Komplete Kontrol for Sub Banks to work)

Each preset has a custom unique template that covers each presets controls, fully labelled with the control labels and all presets are tagged using NKS standards. This is a huge challenge to make custom templates with labels for every preset in Falcon along with tagging so just consider for a moment the amount of work needed to do this.

A note with the Legacy Library, the updated Rev 2 library contains most of the legacy library presets so it is not a requirement to have the older legacy library however there are some presets that are not available and there are also some different control option in the legacy presets and some legacy presets sound or behave a little different which some may find interesting to explore. You do need to have the Falcon legacy factory UFS installed for the legacy NKS files to load, instructions on downloading that from your UVI account are included if you do not have it already but I cannot guarentee everyone would have access to the older Falcon library.

Upgrade discounts will apply in the final cart if you own a previous Falcon NKS library and are logged into your account.

Libraries now exist for all Falcon expansions and each library offers full control with custom per-preset controller mapping, fully tagged presets and sound previews/artwork files.

All libraries will appear in the “Falcon” instrument library under the Bank “Expansions” and as of the next Komplete Kontrol software update you will finally be able to select the actual sub expansions to browse again.

Last month I posted about work being started on tackling the massive Omnisphere 3 update and I am pleased to say at least, I have the process pretty much updated and sorted as efficient as I can so work will begin on a new library hopefullly by the end of this year. It could easily be 6+ months before I can release anything because it will likely take at least that long to save even half the presets out but we will see how things progress and how testing goes as I need to stress test things. Be warned tho, you will need a good 30GB of space for the NKS library so if you are interested in the upgrade, prepare for a huge library now…

While testing Omnisphere 3 I did hit some issues which I am very pleased to say were confirmed and addressed by Spectrasonics within just a few weeks of my reports so hats off to the team for their attention and efficiency! The issues were related to the mapping of Host Automation where it could cause Omnisphere to either freeze or run very sluggish when loading NKS files or even some DAW projects.

If you experienced crashes, slowdown or freeses when loading the current Omnisphere NKS files then sit tight as the next official update release (3.0.2) from Spectrasonics should address these issues but please let me know if you still experience any problems after this update is released.

Sub Banks Fixed!

Sub Banks Missing in Komplete Kontrol V3 Software?

If you read the last mailout you would have seen the announcement that Native Instruments finally appeared to have heard and understood us on the problems where Sub Banks were not showing in the NKS browser so you could not select libraries via Sub Banks making libraries with expansions such as Omnisphere difficult to use.

I am so relieved to finally announce after 3 long years of constant pressure that they have actually finally addressed this issue and just announced it on the forum for the next release. While it is still in Beta and not yet released I believe an official update should release this week hopefully so please update your Komplete Kontrol v3 when it releases to finally have the ability to select Banks & Sub Banks again.
