IMPACT SOUNDWORKS NEW FREE HIT LIBRARY IS NO JOKE!
Impact Soundworks yesterday released a brand new free Kontakt Player library called HIT, an acronym for High Intensity Transient.
As April 1st is traditionally a day when all sorts of pranks and jokes are rife across the internet, many could have been forgiven for thinking this is just a gimmick library with no real value.
As it turns out, Impact Soundworks HIT, is a big hit here, and I’m left scratching my head as to why nobody has done this previously.
The concept of the orchestral hit, has many compositional uses, from the horror jump scare, to dance floor stabs, this little beauty covers the whole caboodle!
There are 6 pages of NKS mapping with the following pages:
Volume, Pan, Tune, Transpose,Variation, Settings
Hits are a single articulation, however they are made up of separate instruments which can be adjusted to taste on a per sound basis using controls from those pages listed above.
Instruments included are:
strings, Brass, Winds, Piano, Synth, Timpani, Bass Drum, crash,
There are also controls for tightness, tail lenth, reverb, reverse, and sound, among others.
The library is entirely free, however Impact Soundworks do include an opportunity to add a donation toward download costs if you wish to contribute.
You will receive a serial code via email after checkout, and installation is via Native Instruments, a mere 100MB of magical disk space!
