Update newsletter for February 2025
 
In case you missed the last update, freelancesoundlabs.com has been updated to a new platform and I have been addressing bugs, updating libraries and reloading over 300 users previous library purchases. Thanks to everyone for their support and patience and just a quick note if you missed the previous information. 
 
If you had an account on the old site before January of this year you will simply need to do a Password Reset  to login and from there if you do not see your past downloads, just submit the form that shows up in the User Account area. No need to include details of past purchases, just submit the form and any additional notes you want to add. You will receive a new order with your past libraries for download and they will appear in your download area again. 
 
If you have only just recently purchased libraries and created an
account, just ignore this notice.

NKS LIBRARY UPDATE AVAILABLE
Air Music AIEP Instrument VST3 Compatible

The Classic plugin from the AIEP Collection along with Boom and Vacuum Classic were updated to support VST3 at the end of 2024 and we now have updated NKS libraries that also support these VST3 updated plugin versions along with artwork updates for the latest Komplete Kontrol MK3 display

The following plugins can now be browsed and loaded via NKS with VST3 compatibility (on both PC and macOS/Apple Silicon)

This was a huge task as the old libraries were unable to simply be “updated” and every preset from each plugin had to be re-rendered from scratch with all previous tagging information migrated over to the new presets. This was a month long process that I am now happy is completed!

Owners of previous VST2 versions of the library will receive a
discount in cart for the update.

NKS LIBRARY UPDATE AVAILABLE
reFX Nexus 5 Update

Updated Nexus 5 NKS library now available.

New NKS library includes the previous Nexus 4 library consisting of 700+ presets and the new Nexus 5 library of over 1100 new presets.

All presets are fully tagged and include sound previews, updated library artwork and control map covering all that can be controlled via Host Automation which is only the basic controls, MIDI can access more parameters but much of Nexus 5 is not accessible for control with anything other than a mouse.
 
Also included are NKS libraries for all the free Advent / Christmas
presets, an additional 600 presets that you can select, just need to have these expansions installed from your reFX Cloud installer.

 Upgrade discount available for owners of the Nexus 4 library. All expansion library content works in both Nexus 4 and Nexus 5.

Will also have NKS libraries for the latest 10 expansions released since the last update sometime soon.

XLN Audio Addictive Drums 2: Vintage Dead Kit

New NKS library has just been added for the latest Addictive Drums 2 Kit: Vintage Dead.

Library contains NKS presets with previews for all kit presets with both AD2 midi mapping and GM mapping options to suit your workflow.

Can simply be added to your existing Addictive Drums NKS library, will appear as a new bank.

GForce Novation Bass Station

NKS Library for GForce Novation Bass Station. Library is fully tagged using tagging from presets converted to NKS format.
 
Full controller map covering most of the available controls except the XLFO/XADSR “per-parameter” settings and all Arp/Sequence presets load with the arp window open while other presets load with the keyboard view.

NKS Library for IconDrum. All presets are tagged with banks allowing selection of presets between. Full controller map offers access to all available parameters. A custom beat pattern for the preview sample shows off all elements of each kit when browsed

Update available to fix the “Sequenced” version of the presets
opening in Host mode instead of Live mode which prevents the
sequencer from starting with the host transport.

Update for users who own this can be downloaded from your Download Area, just replace thee NKS files with the latest ones if you wish to load presets correctly in sequencer mode.

If you have any issues with any libraries, feedback about how useful/not useful these libraries are or any instruments/plugins to request NKS for simply reply to this email with your suggestions as the more we receive on certain products, the more likely they will be considered tho we can’t invest in them all.
