VICIOUS ANTELOPE SYNTH PRESETS
We first became aware of the sound design talents of Tolis from the uniquely named Vicious Antelope last year, and he has been prolifically adding a constant stream of new preset sound pack releases to his product line up.
there are preset packs available for the most popular synths on the market including Spectrasonics Omnisphere, U-HE Diva,Repro 1 & 5, Zebra 2, Hive 2, Synapse Audio Dune 3, Cherry Audio Memorymode , GX-80, Elka-X DCO-106, Mercury-6, , Arturia Analog Lab V, Knif Audio Knifonium, Xfer Records Serum, Lennar Digital Sylenth, NI Massive & Massive X, plus quite a few more in a list that is far too exhaustive to list here;
The problem that we have as Komplete Kontrol users is that the majority of these presets only come in their native developer formats, meaning that we are often unable to take advantage of many of them due to the lack of accessibility.
Massive & Massive X are of course already compatible as a recognised Native Instruments format, but products from U-HE & Knif Audio do also feature an option to save out into the NKSF file format, although this is something not accessible for us to do ourselves.
We have already been successful in persuading a number of notable sound set designers to also make their presets available as NKSF files alongside their original standard, including The Unfinished, Plughugger Sound Design, and now Vicious Antelope will also gradually be adding NKS compatible presets to his existing U-HE & Knif Audio packs.
The current NKS packs can already be filtered in the Vicious Antelope search, with 4 being available at the moment, follwoing the release yesterday of Darkest Equilibrium for U-HE Diva.
Tolis assures me that he does have plans to work on the existing products back catalogue in due course following a current studio rellocation.
With 250 Soundbanks and some 12,500 presets already available in his store there is certainly plenty of content for users to contemplate, and with Arturia making their own plug-ins more accessible through the use of JUCE coding, the Arturia content may also be an option to consider.
Meanwhile Vicious Antelope have currently made their Knifonium Dirty Woodwinds pack free for a limited time, so if you do have that fantastic tube based synth recreation available on your system after picking up a Komplete 14 upgrade, then here are some extra presets to enjoy.
