Native Instruments Release New ‘How To Use Komplete Kontrol Accessibility Features’ Video

It might seem like an odd decision for Native Instruments to release an overview video highlighting the accessibility features of Komplete Kontrol, particularly at a point when many from the VI community have been using them for years.

However with a continually growing YouTube subscription base of 640,000 viewers, Native Instruments believe there is sure to be another audience that are either unaware, or will be informed and inspired to spread the word even further, which can only be a good thing for all of us blind & visually impaired musicians.

Inh the walkthrough Native Instruments product specialist Brian Kullas clearly and concisely takes viewers through the Komplete Kontrol accessibility setup process with an S-Series MK2 keyboard using Logic Pro as his DAW.

Brian Covers the basics of browsing, loading, editing and working with sounds, as well as the Scale & Arp features, for many of us, there might not be much to learn here, however for uninitiated sighted users it is proving to be a fascinating watch.

Having said this, I did learn something that I was previously unaware of, and that is the Arp preset facility.

When in Arp edit mode, the top row function buttons on the S-Series can be used to turn on the Arp, hold and Gate controls, and buttons 5 to 8 can store Arp presets that contain different play rates which can be quickly switched between.
